AJ began his tattoo career in late 2000, in Bowling Green, Ohio. AJ saw an opportunity to broaden his experience by diversifying the quality of artists around him, and that desire took him to Boulder Colorado, where he was able to develop a new set of skills in a busy, progressive studio. AJ was mentored at this point by Billy "the kid" Laing. His level of dedication soon led him to a larger market, at which point, he began working in Columbus. AJ saw, at High Street Tattoo, an opportunity to further expand his knowledge of tattooing, as well as the chance to work with some of the cities best artists, in Columbus' most progressive and professional studio. Now, after four years at High Street Tattoo, AJ is one of the studio's most popular artists, and his clientele has expanded to include several of the cities most prominent local figures, and a wealth of collectors that seek him out for his unique, and diverse styles. AJ is comfortable in a range of tattoo styles, from traditional American tattooing, to futuristic bio-mechanical, and nearly everything in between. The idea of the red clover historically was used as a healing remedy, and AJ himself has a strong Irish heritage, these elements are carried with him and not only influence his work, but also his life. redcloverink is a testament to the healing properties of the tattoo process, and the legendary luck of the Irish.
